She began her career in banking in 1997 for Commercial Federal Bank (formerly AmerUs Bank) in Iowa City and rose through the ranks with that bank, which was bought by Bank of the West. He began his work for the Securities Division in 1975 as a securities examiner. a native of Davenport, Goettsch received his law degree, with distinction, from the University of Iowa Law School and is a member of the Polk County and Iowa Bar Associations. Goettsch has served as President of the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA), has served on several committees, served on the Board of Directors, and currently chairs NASAA’s Uniform Securities Act Project Group and Corporate governance Project Group. Wade is a visiting lecturer at the University of Illinois-Chicago’s professional MBA program, where he teaches international and macro economics classes. His Ph.D. dissertation, titled “Trade Openness, Financial Integration and Macro Economic Volatility,” provides him a depth of expertise when speaking to a variety of constituents for his outreach role at the Fed.
